Hygge Igloo Events was founded in 2021 in the midst of a global pandemic. Through these challenging years we have come to fully appreciate, and treasure time spent with family and friends. Our igloos provide an amazing, comfortable space for our clients and guests to enjoy.

A natural progression and expansion of the business has led to the introduction of Hygge Sleepovers. Our cute teepees provide that extra bit of magic to Birthday, Sibling or Bestie Sleepovers and support our vision of ‘creating lasting memories’.

We are passionate about delivering a quality service and have linked up with other local suppliers which allow us to fully cater for all your needs, from balloons and graze boards to cocktails and cakes and not forgetting fine dining.

We cover Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey. Delivery is free of charge within a 15 mile radius of RG5 after which a delivery fee may apply. If you don’t live within these areas, please contact us to see how we can help.

My career background has been in Customer Service, working in both the private and public sectors. Having been made redundant during the pandemic I took the opportunity to set up Hygge Igloo Events, this has enabled me to realise a long held ambition of running my own business and combine my career experience in Customer Service with my creative skills.

Our purpose is to create lasting memories.

What is Hygge

We often get asked about our unusual name. Hygge is a Danish word and pronounced hoo-gah, although we pronounce it as ‘higgy’. It translates to ‘cosiness’ but means so much more. For us it’s about creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with family and friends. The warm glow of fairy lights, cosying up with loved ones for a movie, and where shared meals and good company meet by candlelight.
We’ve captured the essence of hygge by thoughtfully sourcing the right mix of quality furnishings and comforting accessories for our igloos and teepees to create a unique space for togetherness.

I would highly recommend Hygge Igloo, this was a special surprise treat for my husband's 30th.
We had a fabulous evening watching movies and eating lots of sweets and popcorn. My two year old thoroughly enjoyed watching Matilda early evening and once she was tucked up in bed we watched Red Notice, all from Netflix. The igloo is lovely and warm and cosy.
